On 13 October 2023, the first scientific and practical conference “Methodology of Scientific Research” took place. The conference was moderated by the leading scientist of the department, Professor Costiantyn Bazilo. The peculiarity of this event was that it was held for applicants for higher education at the master’s and doctoral levels entirely in English.
The applicants demonstrated both their scientific achievements and outstanding knowledge of the English language, which proved the high level of teaching and training in this discipline at the department and at the university as a whole.
Among the invited guests at the conference were the Head of the Department, Professor Maksym Bondarenko, who emphasised the need to learn foreign languages for scientific research and its testing in different countries of the world, and the leading specialist of the Centre for Standardisation and Metrology, Associate Professor Dmytro Matvienko, who demonstrated the advantage of English for fluent communication, both in everyday life and in professional matters.
In total, the conference was attended by more than 50 students of master’s and doctoral degrees, of whom 32 made presentations.
Based on the results of the conference, taking into account the experience gained, the organisers decided to continue this event and organise an annual scientific and practical conference involving not only students, but also young and leading scientists of Cherkasy region and Ukraine.
